PROJECTOR FILMS is a new film and TV production company dedicated to creating unique screen content.

Producers David Ngo and Daniel Joyce founded Projector Films in 2009. Director Nick Matthews and writer Craig Behenna soon joined the team and in 2010 Projector was awarded the South Australian Film Corporation’s Producer Development Grant.

Projector combines skills across multiple disciplines - writing, cinematography, directing, editing, over many years in documentary (BBC’s THE GLOBAL ECONOMY, SBS’s MY GENERATION), reality TV (Channel 7’s MY RESTAURANT RULES, SBS’s RISKING IT ALL), children’s programming (ABC’s FIGARO PHO, THE FAIRIES), feature films (2:37, BROKEN HILL) and award-winning short films (THE KISS, CARNIVORE REFLUX).

In 2009 to 2010 Projector produced the Tropfest Finalist JACKIE’S SPRING PALACE (starring Master Chef celebrity Poh Ling Yeow); comedy DEATH OF A BOGAN (2011 Shorts Film Festival, Flickerfest 2012); COLLISION (SAFC funded short film starring AFI Nominee Kathryn Beck, 60th Melbourne International Film Festival), the Sudanese war film PAPER PLANES and the RAW Nerve documentary MURDER MOUTH (selected for the AIDC’s Meet Market).

Currently the team is in pre-production on the ABC documentary The Disassembly Line and the feature film ONE EYED GIRL, which has been funded through the SAFC’s FilmLab Program and is set to shoot in early 2012, the TV series THE MAN FRIDAY PROJECT (developed through The Tropfest Feature Program and Movie Network Channel), as well as several other TV series and feature films.

Projector is a dedicated team of filmmakers with one goal: ‘to make original screen content that connects with audiences the world over’.
